Overview

Sedeo is a multi-vendor grocery platform built for a Belgian client, covering the complete ordering journey, from a customer browsing stores to a rider handing over the delivery. Devzey delivered the entire system: the customer-facing app, the storefront, the operations dashboard, and the real-time logistics layer.

What we delivered

• Customer mobile app: browse multiple vendors, build a basket, checkout, and follow the order in real time.
• Full e-commerce website: the complete storefront experience with multi-vendor catalogues and checkout.
• Web admin panel: a central dashboard for managing vendors, catalogues, orders, and platform operations.
• Delivery rider location tracking: live GPS tracking so both operations and customers can see where a rider is.
• Order tracking: end-to-end order status, from placement through preparation to delivery.

The challenge

Multi-vendor grocery is operationally heavy. A single customer basket can span several independent vendors, each with their own stock, preparation times, and pickup point. On top of that, deliveries are live: riders move, orders change state, and everyone (customer, vendor, and operator) needs to see the same truth at the same moment.

The approach

We modelled the platform around the order lifecycle first, then built each surface on that shared foundation. Vendors, customers, riders, and administrators all read and write to one consistent order state, which keeps tracking accurate and makes the operations dashboard genuinely useful rather than an afterthought.

The result is a complete commerce and logistics system running as one product, delivered as a single engagement.
